Exterior 450 is formulated with UV absorbers to help stabilize the finish against the effects of sunlight. Its built-in mildewcide helps retard mold and mildew growth, making it well suited for many outdoor woodworking and finishing projects. The finish can be used as a clear protective coat or as an optional topcoat over General Finishes Milk Paint.

Important: Exterior 450 is intended for vertical exterior surfaces and is not recommended for use as a deck finish. When applying it over a stain for an outdoor project, make sure the underlying stain is also specifically rated for exterior exposure.

Application and Performance

Exterior 450 can be applied using a quality brush or an HVLP sprayer, providing flexibility for both small woodworking projects and larger finishing applications. Under suitable conditions, the coating dries to a clear finish in approximately 1 to 2 hours. Drying time can vary depending on temperature, humidity, ventilation, and application conditions.
