• They are called framed cabinets because a 1-1/2 in. wide face frame surrounds the front of the cabinet box. The doors are attached to the face frame rather than directly to the cabinet box.

Grass Tiomos is an innovative hinge concept designed to deliver smooth operation, precise alignment, and reliable soft-close performance. Its advanced internal kinematics make cabinet doors exceptionally easy to open while allowing extremely small gaps and reveals for a clean, refined appearance.

Kinematics Built Into Tiomos Hinges

• The complex inner workings of this high-tech hinge are concealed within the hinge body, but their performance is impressive. Tiomos kinematics provide exceptionally smooth door movement and make it possible to achieve precise alignment with minimal gaps and reveals.
• The Tiomos hinge system provides convenient three-dimensional adjustment for precise door positioning:
  • Depth adjustment (+3/-2mm): A continuous, self-locking adjustment is provided by the worm gear built into the hinge.
  • Side adjustment (±2mm): Side-to-side positioning is adjusted directly on the hinge arm.
  • Height adjustment (±2mm): The mounting plate included in this kit provides height adjustment through its integrated worm gear.

160° Opening Angle with Inset Application

This Grass Tiomos hinge kit provides a 160° opening angle and is designed for inset cabinet doors with a 2mm reveal. The hinge's advanced geometry and adjustment capabilities help achieve consistent door alignment and a precise, professional cabinet appearance.

Achieved Overlay Based on Common Cup-Hole Distance

• Door positioning is determined by a combination of three factors: the cup-hole distance, the hinge type, and the height of the mounting plate.
• This kit is based on a cup-hole distance between 4 and 6mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.). If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct hinge and mounting plate combination.

Door Thickness

• This kit accommodates cabinet doors up to 24mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick.
• If your doors are thicker than 24mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

Single Door Kit

This single-door kit takes the guesswork out of selecting compatible Grass Tiomos hinge components for an inset face-frame cabinet application. The included hinge and mounting plate combination is designed to provide precise positioning, smooth operation, and convenient three-way adjustment.

Footnotes

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate. Heavier doors should use two soft-close hinges.
