• Framed cabinets are the most common type of cabinet construction in the United States.
• They are called framed cabinets because of the 1-1/2 in. lip (frame) around the front of the cabinet box. The doors are attached to the frame rather than directly to the cabinet box.

Kinematics Built Into Tiomos Hinges

• The complex inner workings of this high-tech hinge are hidden from view, yet they provide impressive performance. Advanced kinematics make the doors extremely easy to open while allowing cabinetmakers to achieve precise alignment with small gaps and reveals.
• The Tiomos hinge system offers three-dimensional adjustment for fine-tuning door position:
  • Depth adjustment: +3/-2mm, provided by the worm gear built into the hinge. Adjustment is continuous and self-locking.
  • Side adjustment: ±2mm, located on the hinge arm.
  • Height adjustment: ±2mm, provided by the worm gear in the mounting plate included with this kit.

Inset Installation with 2mm Reveal

• This kit is designed for face-frame cabinets with inset doors and a 2mm reveal.
• The combination of hinge geometry and mounting-plate height is designed to provide the specified inset application when installed according to the appropriate cabinet-door dimensions.

Achieved Overlay Based on Common Cup-Hole Distance

• Door overlay is determined by a combination of three factors: the cup-hole distance_(b), the type of hinge, and the height of the mounting plate.
• This kit is based on a cup-hole distance between 4 and 6mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.). If your cup-hole distance is outside this range, please contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct hinge and plate combination.

Door Thickness

• This kit is designed for cabinet doors up to 24mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick.
• If your doors are thicker than 24mm, please get in touch with McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

Footnotes

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge delivers an optimal closing rate. Heavier doors should use two soft-close hinges.

Cup-Hole Distance is the measure from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the cup hole.
