Grass Tiomos FL - 160 Deg., Soft Close, 3/8 Overlay - Single Door Kit

Grass Tiomos Frameless 160° Soft-Close Hinge - 3/8 in. Overlay - Single Door Kit

Frameless (Euro Style) Cabinet Application

The Grass Tiomos Frameless 160° Soft-Close 3/8 in. Overlay Single Door Kit is designed for full-access, European-style frameless cabinets. This complete hinge and mounting plate combination makes it easier to achieve precise cabinet door alignment, smooth operation, and a controlled soft-close action without the guesswork of selecting compatible components separately.

• Designed for frameless cabinets: Ideal for European-style, full-access cabinetry where doors attach directly to the cabinet box without a face frame.
• 3/8 in. overlay: Provides the correct door positioning for applications requiring a 3/8 in. overlay when paired with the specified cup-hole distance and mounting plate.
• 160° opening angle: Wide-opening hinge design provides excellent access to cabinet interiors and greater flexibility for cabinet layouts.
• Soft-close operation: Integrated soft-close technology helps bring the cabinet door smoothly and quietly into the closed position.
• Single-door kit: Includes the hinge components and mounting plate needed for one cabinet door; screws are not included.

Why Choose Frameless Cabinet Hinges?

Frameless, also called Euro Style or full-access cabinetry, eliminates the traditional face frame and mounts cabinet doors directly to the cabinet box. This construction provides a clean, contemporary appearance while maximizing access to the cabinet interior.

• Full-access cabinet construction provides unobstructed access to shelves and storage areas.
• Doors and drawers can be wider because there is no face-frame lip restricting the opening.
• Frameless cabinet construction can provide approximately 15% more usable storage space than comparable framed cabinetry.
• Frameless construction is a design choice and does not indicate lower cabinet quality.

Grass Tiomos Hinge Technology

Grass Tiomos is an innovative cabinet hinge system engineered for smooth movement, precise alignment, and refined cabinet door operation. Its advanced internal kinematics are concealed within the hinge, providing a clean appearance while helping the door open easily and close with controlled motion.

Three-Dimensional Cabinet Door Adjustment

The Tiomos hinge system provides multiple adjustment points, making it easier to fine-tune cabinet doors and achieve consistent reveals and alignment.

• Depth adjustment: +3/-2 mm adjustment is controlled by a continuous, self-locking worm gear built into the hinge.
• Side adjustment: ±2 mm adjustment is provided on the hinge arm for precise horizontal positioning.
• Height adjustment: ±2 mm adjustment is available through the worm gear incorporated into the mounting plate supplied with this kit.

3/8 in. Overlay Based on Cup-Hole Distance

The actual cabinet door overlay is determined by a combination of the cup-hole distance, hinge style, and mounting plate height. This Grass Tiomos kit is specifically configured to achieve a 3/8 in. overlay when used within the specified cup-hole-distance range.

• Cup-hole distance: This kit is based on a distance of 4 to 6 mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.) from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole.
• If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct Grass Tiomos hinge and mounting plate combination.

Cabinet Door Thickness

This Grass Tiomos hinge kit is designed for cabinet doors up to 24 mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. For doors thicker than 24 mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support to determine the appropriate hinge components.

Soft-Close Hinge Configuration

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate. Heavier cabinet doors should use two soft-close hinges for improved control and consistent closing performance.
