The Grass® Tiomos® FL 160° Soft-Close Hinge Kit takes the guesswork out of selecting the correct hinge and mounting plate for a 1/2 in. overlay application. This single-door kit combines the Tiomos wide-angle soft-close hinge with the appropriate mounting plate for precise cabinet door installation. The kit includes the hinge and mounting plate components; screws are not included.

Designed for Frameless Cabinetry

This Tiomos hinge kit is designed for frameless, European-style cabinets, where the cabinet doors attach directly to the cabinet box without a traditional face frame.

Tiomos® 160° Wide-Angle Hinge

The Grass Tiomos 160° hinge combines concealed kinematics, smooth movement, and precise adjustment in a compact cabinet hinge design. Its advanced internal mechanism allows the door to open to an impressive 160-degree angle, providing increased access to the cabinet interior and greater flexibility for cabinet design.

Three-Dimensional Cabinet Door Adjustment

Tiomos hinges provide independent adjustment in three directions, making it easier to fine-tune cabinet doors during installation or after the cabinet has been put into service.

• Depth adjustment (+3/-2 mm): A continuous, self-locking worm-gear mechanism provides precise depth adjustment.
• Side adjustment (±2 mm): Lateral adjustment is made directly on the hinge arm to fine-tune the door position.
• Height adjustment (±2 mm): The included mounting plate uses an integrated worm gear for controlled vertical adjustment.

1/2 in. Overlay Configuration

This kit is specifically configured for a 1/2 in. cabinet door overlay. The final overlay is determined by the relationship between the hinge cup-hole distance, hinge geometry, and mounting plate height.

• Overlay: 1/2 in.
• Cup-hole distance: 4 to 6 mm (5/32 to 15/64 in.).
• Use the specified cup-hole distance range to achieve the intended overlay.
• If your cup-hole distance falls outside the specified range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct hinge and mounting plate combination.

Cabinet Door Thickness

The Tiomos 160° hinge kit is designed for cabinet doors up to 24 mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. For doors thicker than 24 mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support to determine the appropriate hinge components.

Integrated Soft-Close Performance

The concealed Tiomos soft-close mechanism provides controlled closing action as the cabinet door approaches the closed position. The damping action helps reduce slamming while providing smooth, quiet cabinet door operation.

Recommended Hinge Setup

For many cabinet doors, using one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides a balanced closing rate. Heavier cabinet doors should be equipped with two soft-close hinges for increased control and consistent closing performance.

Important Installation Information

Cup-hole distance refers to the measurement from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole. Accurate cup-hole placement is essential for achieving the specified 1/2 in. overlay and ensuring proper hinge operation.

Kit includes: Tiomos 160° soft-close hinge and the specified mounting plate combination for a 1/2 in. overlay application.
