1/4 in. Overlay Configuration

The 1/4 in. overlay configuration is determined by the relationship between the cup-hole distance, hinge design, and mounting-plate height. This kit is specifically configured to provide the correct geometry for the specified overlay application.

• Cup-hole distance: 4 to 6 mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.).

Cabinet Door Thickness

Hinge Installation Notes

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate. Heavier cabinet doors should use two soft-close hinges.

Cup-Hole Distance: Cup-hole distance is measured from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole. Proper measurement is important when selecting the correct hinge and mounting-plate combination for the desired overlay.
