Grass Tiomos FL - 160 Deg., Soft Close, Inset (2mm Reveal) - Single Door Kit

Grass Tiomos Frameless 160° Soft-Close Inset Hinge Kit – 2mm Reveal – Single Door

Frameless (Euro Style) Cabinet Application

The Grass Tiomos Frameless 160° Soft-Close Inset Hinge Kit is designed for full-access, frameless European-style cabinets with inset doors and a precise 2mm reveal. This complete single-door hinge kit takes the guesswork out of selecting compatible hinge and mounting plate components, providing smooth operation, easy adjustment, and reliable soft-close performance.

Frameless cabinets have no face frame, allowing cabinet doors and drawers to attach directly to the cabinet box. This full-access construction provides a clean, modern appearance while maximizing usable cabinet space.

• Designed for frameless European-style cabinets: Ideal for full-access cabinetry without a face frame, where doors mount directly to the cabinet box.
• Inset cabinet door application: Designed for inset doors with a nominal 2mm reveal between the door and cabinet box.
• 160° wide opening: Provides an exceptionally wide opening angle for improved access to cabinet interiors.
• Soft-close operation: Integrated soft-close technology helps doors close smoothly, quietly, and with controlled movement.
• Single-door hinge kit: Includes the appropriate hinge and mounting plate combination for the specified application.

Tiomos Hinge Technology for Precise Cabinet Door Alignment

Grass Tiomos is an innovative cabinet hinge system designed to deliver smooth movement, precise alignment, and easy adjustment. Its advanced internal kinematics are concealed within the hinge while providing exceptionally smooth door operation and controlled closing performance.

Three-Dimensional Adjustment

The Tiomos hinge system provides convenient 3-way cabinet door adjustment, making it easier to achieve consistent reveals and precise door alignment during installation.

• Depth adjustment: +3/-2mm – A continuous, self-locking adjustment is provided through the worm gear built into the hinge.
• Side adjustment: ±2mm – Lateral adjustment is incorporated into the hinge arm for precise door positioning.
• Height adjustment: ±2mm – The included mounting plate uses a worm gear for accurate vertical adjustment.

Grass Tiomos Inset Hinge – 2mm Reveal

This kit is configured for an inset cabinet door application with a 2mm reveal. The final door position is determined by the relationship between the cup-hole distance, hinge style, and mounting plate height.

• Cup-hole distance: This kit is designed for a cup-hole distance between 4mm and 6mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.).
• Important: If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct Grass Tiomos hinge and mounting plate combination.

Cabinet Door Thickness

The Grass Tiomos Frameless 160° Soft-Close Inset Hinge Kit is suitable for cabinet doors up to 24mm thick (approximately 15/16 in.). For doors thicker than 24mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

Soft-Close Hinge Configuration

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate. Heavier cabinet doors should use two soft-close hinges for improved control and closing performance.

Installation and Application Notes

The Grass Tiomos Frameless 160° Soft-Close Inset Hinge Kit is intended for cabinetmakers, woodworking professionals, furniture manufacturers, and DIY installers working with frameless European-style cabinetry. Proper cup-hole placement and cabinet construction are essential for achieving the specified inset reveal and full 160° opening.

Cup-hole distance is measured from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole. Verify this measurement before ordering to ensure compatibility with the included hinge and mounting plate combination.
