Diablo Trex Blade, the only recommended composite decking blade for cutting Composite Decking and Cellular PVC. Freud has designed a saw blade specifically for composite (Trex to be exact) decking material. You know the mushrooming effect you used to get when driving screws into composites? That was really frustrating until composite deck screws solved the problem! Cutting deck boards to length can be just as frustrating if you don't use this Diablo Trex blade. A modified triple chip grind tooth configuration, coupled with a nonstick Perma-SHIELD® coating, reduces the melting of material. It also uses a high density carbide tooth to maximize the blade life. The blade is thin kerf for less material removal, causing less drag for lower blade temperatures. Less heat = less gumming = longer life.
