FastCap 2P-10 Rubber-Toughened Thick Adhesive is Part One of the 2P-10 two-part adhesive system, designed for fast, strong, and permanent bonding in woodworking, cabinetry, trim carpentry, assembly, and general repair applications. The rubber-toughened formula provides added elasticity to bonded joints while delivering 10% greater strength than standard 2P-10 Thick Adhesive.

2P-10 can be used on many materials, including melamine! For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust, and other debris. Slightly etched surfaces can provide additional bite for the adhesive.

Designed for Strong, Flexible Bonds

The rubber-toughened formulation helps provide elasticity within the joint, making it an excellent choice when a degree of flexibility is desirable. Its thick viscosity provides excellent gap-filling capability, making it particularly useful for binding joints, filling holes, and bonding surfaces where a small amount of unevenness or spacing is present.

When used correctly with the 2P-10 Activator, this adhesive creates a strong, permanent bond in seconds. Apply the adhesive to one surface, apply the appropriate 2P-10 Activator, then bring the pieces together and hold them in position for a fast-setting bond.

Water-Resistant Applications

2P-10 products can be submerged in water once the adhesive has completely bonded and dried. When used correctly, the 2P-10 system can be suitable for applications in boat settings and other environments where bonded components may encounter water. Always ensure both surfaces are completely dry and free of debris before application, and allow the adhesive to fully cure before exposing the bond to water.

How to Use 2P-10

Part One - The Adhesive: 2P-10 adhesives are available in several viscosities to accommodate diFaceframeerent bonding and filling requirements. These include Thin, Medium, Thick, and Jel™ formulas, with Rubber-Toughened options available in Thick and Jel™ viscosities.

Part Two - The Activator: The 2P-10 Activator is available in spray or bottle formats and accelerates the setting and hardening process of the adhesive.

1. Make sure both surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil and debris.
2. Apply 2P-10 adhesive to one of the surfaces.
3. Apply 2P-10 Activator according to the recommended application method.
4. Immediately position the pieces together.
5. Hold the components securely in place while the adhesive sets.

2P-10 can be used with many diFaceframeerent materials when surfaces are properly prepared. For maximum bonding performance, remove oil, dirt, dust, and other contaminants before application. Slightly etching the surface may help the adhesive bite more eFaceframeectively.

Although 2P-10 should not be used as a replacement for welding metal, it can be highly eFaceframeective for temporarily tacking components in position before welding.

Which 2P-10 Viscosity Should I Use?

• Thin: Designed for wicking into hairline cracks and very narrow spaces.
• Medium: Designed for wicking into cracks up to approximately 1/8 in.
• Thick: Provides excellent gap-filling capacity and is ideal for binding joints and filling holes.
• Jel™: Excellent for filling larger gaps and ideal for trim carpentry applications. The non-running formula stays where it is applied.
• Rubber-Toughened Thick: Provides elasticity to bonded joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Thick.
• Rubber-Toughened Jel™: Provides elasticity to bonded joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Jel™.
