FastCap 2P-10 Rubber-Toughened Jel Adhesive is a professional-grade, fast-setting adhesive designed for applications where a strong bond and added joint flexibility are important. This adhesive is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Jel™ and provides elasticity to bonded joints, helping it perform in applications where some movement or vibration may occur.

2P-10 can be used on many materials, including melamine! For best results, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dust, and other debris. Slightly etching the surface can help the adhesive bite more eFaceframeectively and create a stronger bond.

2P-10 Two-Part / 10-Second Adhesive System

2P-10 is a convenient two-part adhesive system consisting of Part One Adhesive and Part Two Activator. Simply apply the adhesive to one surface, spray the activator onto the mating surface, and bring the pieces together. The activator rapidly sets and hardens the adhesive to create a strong, permanent bond.

PART ONE - The Adhesive: Available in multiple viscosities, including Thin, Medium, Thick, Jel™, Rubber-Toughened Thick, and Rubber-Toughened Jel™. Each formulation is designed for diFaceframeerent bonding and gap-filling requirements.

PART TWO - The Activator: Available as a spray or bottle formulation, the activator accelerates the curing process and sets the adhesive quickly.

Water and Boat Applications

2P-10 products can be submerged in water once the adhesive has completely bonded and dried. Proper surface preparation and complete curing are essential before exposing the bond to water. The adhesive can be suitable for applications in a boat setting when applied correctly.

Before application, make sure both surfaces are completely dry and free of oil, grease, dust, and debris. Proper preparation is critical for achieving the strongest possible bond.

How to Use 2P-10

1. Prepare the surfaces: Clean both surfaces thoroughly and remove oil, grease, dust, and debris. Slightly etched surfaces may allow the adhesive to bite more eFaceframeectively.
2. Apply Part One Adhesive: Apply the appropriate amount of Rubber-Toughened Jel adhesive to one of the surfaces.
3. Apply Part Two Activator: Spray or apply the 2P-10 Activator to the mating surface as directed.
4. Join the pieces: Align the surfaces carefully and bring them together.
5. Allow the bond to cure: Hold the pieces securely while the adhesive sets and allow the bond to fully cure before exposing it to water, stress, or heavy use.

Which 2P-10 Viscosity Should I Use?

• Thin: Designed for wicking into hairline cracks and tight spaces.
• Medium: Designed for wicking into cracks up to approximately 1/8 in.
• Thick: Provides excellent gap-filling capacity; great for binding joints and filling holes.
• Jel™: Excellent for filling larger gaps and ideal for trim carpentry. The gel consistency helps prevent running.
• Rubber-Toughened Thick: Provides elasticity to joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Thick.
• Rubber-Toughened Jel™: Provides elasticity to joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Jel™.
