EB-TY JR with Live-Center to Allow for Board Movement - 1/4 in. spacing - w/o Screws
Junior Height has a lower height for use with 11/16 in. and 3/4 in. decking. The Live Center is designed to allow for movement in Kiln-Dried and Other Materials that move with moisture changes.
The Live-Center feature is a hollowed-out board spacer. As wood expands across the grain with increases in relative humidity, the hollowed-out spacer in the Eb-Ty will flex, providing expansion room for the wood's movement.
DIMENSIONS:
- Height = 13/32 in.
- 'Width = 1 in.
- Length = 2-3/8 in.
- Board Spacing = 1/4 in.
- Thickness = 0.14 in.
INSTALLATION:
- Use a biscuit jointer to make a recess in boards without grooves in the edge. Drive the screw at an angle. For end boards, drive a head-coated screw through the top of the board on the edge without the Eb-Ty.
- Use with #7 x 2-1/4 in. trim head wood screws, 305 or 316 stainless steel.
- Use 305 stainless steel for most environments.
- Use 316 stainless steel for highly corrosive environments such as salt water or salt spray (within 2 miles of ocean), dockside, poolside, etc.
