It can be used in decking that will shrink or expand as it acclimates. The low profile (shorter height than the original) allows for use with thinner deck boards starting at 3/4 inch.
Use the live center version if you expect the wood to expand
Mini Height has a lower height for use with 11/16 in. and 3/4 in. decking.

INSTALLATION:
Simply use a biscuit joiner to make a recess in boards without grooves in the edge. Drive the screw at an angle. For end boards, drive a head-coated screw through the top of the board on the edge without the Eb-Ty.
Use with #7 x 2-1/4 in. trim head wood screws, 305 or 316 stainless steel.
Use 305 stainless steel for most environments.
Use 316 stainless steel for highly corrosive environments such as salt water or salt spray (within 2 miles of ocean), dockside, poolside, etc.
