For use in decking that will shrink as it acclimates, wet wood. It is the best system for natural wood, used with 1-inch boards and thicker like Cedar, Ipe, and Redwood. Also great for composite deck materials.
The live center version is best
Live-Center EB-TYS w/o Screws to Allow for Board Movement - 1/4 in. spacing
Designed to allow for movement in Kiln-Dried and Other Materials that move with moisture changes.
The Live-Center feature is a hollowed-out board spacer. As the wood expands with increases in relative humidity, the hollowed-out spacer in the Eb-Ty will flex, keeping the spacing the same and providing expansion room for the wood's movement.
DIMENSIONS:
Height = 1/2 in.
'Width = 1 in.
Length = 2-3/8 in.
Board Spacing = 1/4 in.
Thickness = 0.14 in.
