CrystaLac® PolyOxide Wood Floor Finish is a gymnasium-tough, heavy-duty water-based polyurethane designed to provide exceptional protection for interior wood surfaces. Fortified with aluminum oxide and UV stabilizers, PolyOxide delivers excellent durability, scuff resistance, and long-lasting beauty while maintaining a non-yellowing finish.

This easy-to-use water-based wood floor finish can be brushed, sprayed, wiped on, or applied with a lamb's wool applicator. It dries quickly, allowing additional coats to be applied after approximately two hours. With multiple coats, many flooring projects can be completed in a single day.

Durable Aluminum Oxide Protection

PolyOxide is formulated with rubber-tough, self-curing waterborne polyurethane resins and fortified with aluminum oxide for added wear resistance. UV stabilizers help protect the finished surface while enhancing the longevity and appearance of interior wood floors and other wood projects.

Low-Odor, Water-Based Formula

Unlike traditional solvent-based polyurethane finishes, CrystaLac PolyOxide has virtually no lingering paint smell, making it a convenient choice for indoor woodworking and home improvement projects. The water-based formula also provides easy cleanup with warm soapy water.

Fast Drying and Easy to Apply

PolyOxide dries to the touch in approximately 35 minutes to 1 hour, with additional coats recommended after about 2 hours. Apply at least 3 coats, with 4 or more coats recommended for demanding floor applications. Lightly scuff sand after the first coat to remove raised grain or fibers; additional sanding between coats is generally not necessary.

PolyOxide can be applied over clean, properly sanded wood surfaces and is compatible with thoroughly dried oil-based or water-based stains. For best results, prepare the surface properly and follow the recommended application and drying times.

Application Instructions

• Stir gently but thoroughly before use. Do not shake.
• Apply 3 to 5 coats, with 4 or more coats recommended for wood floor applications.
• Allow approximately 2 hours of drying time between coats.
• Lightly scuff sand after the first coat to remove raised grain or fibers.
• Do not use stearated sandpaper or tack cloths.
• Apply with a bristle brush, foam brush, lamb's wool applicator, wipe-on method, or sprayer.
• Clean application tools with warm soapy water.
• Store leftover finish in a clean, airtight container for future use.
