CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw for Soft and Hard Woods - 3-5/8-in. Diameter

The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw is designed for fast, precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. With durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this hole saw delivers long cutting life and efficient performance when drilling through softwoods, hardwoods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm2.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

  • Carbide-Tipped Tungsten Teeth: Durable carbide teeth provide long service life and fast cutting performance across compatible materials.
  • Fast-Lock Attachment: Compatible hole saw sizes can be attached to the shank quickly and securely without tools.
  • Fast, Precise Drilling: Designed to maintain accurate cutting performance, even when drilling at Xtreme angles.
  • Precision Hole Enlargement: Use two hole saws together to enlarge an existing hole with greater accuracy and control.
  • Easy Plug Removal: Reverse the drill bit to help release and remove the cut plug quickly and easily.
  • Hex Shank: The hex shank provides maximum non-slip power transfer between the drill and hole saw assembly.

Precision Hole Enlargement

The CMT hole saw system makes enlarging an existing hole simple and precise. Two hole saws can be mounted together to guide the larger saw using the existing hole as the reference point.

  1. Load the larger hole saw: Slide the larger hole saw onto the shank from the back until it reaches the ring stop.
  2. Load the smaller hole saw: Slide the smaller hole saw onto the shank from the front until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
  3. Install in the drill: Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw positioned against the chuck.

Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

Important: If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank (CMT-Sh350-DB1) is required.

Ideal for a Wide Range of Applications

With its carbide-tipped cutting teeth and versatile design, this CMT hole saw is a practical choice for woodworking, cabinetry, remodeling, construction, and general drilling applications. The 3-5/8-in. diameter and 2-1/16-in. cutting depth provide the capacity needed for larger-diameter holes in a variety of compatible materials.

Note: Shanks are sold separately.
