The CMT Carbide-Tipped Hole Saw is designed for fast, precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. With durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this 3-1/2-in. diameter hole saw delivers long cutting life and efficient drilling performance. Its 2-1/16-in. cutting depth makes it well suited for woodworking, remodeling, installation, and general construction applications.

Designed for use in both soft and hard woods, this CMT hole saw can also cut chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Precision Hole Enlargement

The CMT hole saw system can also be used to enlarge an existing hole with precision. By mounting two hole saws together, the smaller saw guides the assembly through the existing opening while the larger saw cuts the new, larger diameter.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it onto the shank from the back until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop and clicks into place.
3. Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws. If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required.

Easy Plug Removal

Removing the cut plug is quick and convenient. Simply reverse the drill bit to help release the plug from the hole saw, minimizing downtime between cuts.
