The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. With a 2-5/8-in. diameter and 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this hole saw is designed for demanding applications involving soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, and select masonry materials.

Carbide-tipped tungsten teeth provide long cutting life and fast material removal, while the precision design helps produce clean, accurate holes. The hole saw can also be used for precise hole enlargement when paired with a second saw of the appropriate diameter.

The carbide-tipped tungsten teeth are designed for faster cutting and extended service life compared with conventional hole saw teeth. The cutting design provides efficient material removal while maintaining the precision needed for clean, consistent holes.

Fast Lock Attachment

The Fast Lock attachment system allows compatible hole saw sizes to be installed without tools. Slide the hole saw into position and click it securely into place for quick setup and easy size changes.

Precise Drilling at Extreme Angles

Designed for controlled drilling performance, the CMT hole saw provides precise cutting even when working at challenging angles. The hex shank design delivers maximum non-slip power transfer between the drill and hole saw assembly.

Precise Hole Enlargement

Need to enlarge an existing hole? This CMT hole saw system allows you to combine two hole saws for accurate hole enlargement. The larger hole saw follows the existing opening while the smaller hole saw provides the necessary alignment for controlled cutting.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw onto the shank by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the CMT-Sh350-DB1 stepped shank is required. Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

Easy Plug Removal

After drilling, the cut plug can be removed quickly and easily by simply reversing the drill bit, helping speed up repetitive hole-cutting applications.
