The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, clean, and reliable cutting across a wide range of materials. With a 2-3/4-in. diameter and 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this hole saw is designed for woodworking, remodeling, installation, and general construction applications where accurate large-diameter holes are required.

Carbide-tipped tungsten teeth provide long-lasting cutting performance and faster drilling compared with conventional hole saws. The versatile design is suitable for cutting soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Its carbide-tipped construction helps maintain cutting performance when working across a variety of materials.

Enlarge Existing Holes with Precision

CMT makes it easy to enlarge an existing hole without losing alignment. By combining two compatible hole saws on the same shank, the smaller saw guides the assembly while the larger saw cuts the new diameter.

1. Load the larger hole saw: Slide the larger saw onto the shank from the back until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw: Slide the smaller saw onto the shank from the front until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert into the drill: Install the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the CMT-Sh350-DB1 stepped shank is required.

Compatible Shank Required

Shanks are sold separately. Select the appropriate CMT shank for your hole saw and drilling application.
