The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, precise cutting and long service life across a wide range of materials. With a 2-3/8-in. diameter and 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this hole saw is designed for demanding drilling applications in soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm2.
Carbide-Tipped Teeth for Fast, Long-Lasting Cutting
Carbide-tipped tungsten teeth provide excellent cutting performance and extended durability compared with conventional hole saw teeth. The aggressive cutting design helps produce clean, accurate holes while maintaining reliable performance through repeated use.
Fast Lock Attachment
The CMT Fast Lock attachment system allows compatible hole saw sizes to be installed quickly and securely without tools. Simply slide the hole saw into position and lock it in place with a single click, making size changes fast and convenient.
Precise Drilling at Extreme Angles
Designed for controlled, accurate drilling, this carbide-tipped hole saw helps maintain precision even when drilling at challenging angles. The hex shank provides strong, non-slip power transfer for dependable performance with compatible drills.
Precise Hole Enlargement
CMT hole saws can be configured to enlarge an existing hole with greater control and precision. By mounting two hole saws together, the smaller saw guides the cut while the larger saw enlarges the opening to the desired diameter.
How to Enlarge an Existing Hole
- Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
- Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank to the ring stop and click it securely into place.
- Insert the assembled shank into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.
Important: If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required. Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the two hole saw diameters.
Fast Plug Removal
Removing the cut plug is quick and convenient. Simply reverse the drill bit to help release the plug from the hole saw, reducing downtime between drilling operations.
