The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw is designed for fast, accurate hole cutting across a wide range of materials. With a 2-1/2-in. diameter and 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this hole saw is ideal for woodworking, remodeling, installation, and general construction applications where clean, precise openings are required.
Carbide-tipped tungsten teeth provide long-lasting cutting performance and fast material removal. This CMT hole saw is suitable for cutting soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm2.
The CMT hole saw system can also be configured to enlarge an existing hole with precision. By mounting two compatible hole saws on the same shank, the smaller saw guides the assembly through the existing opening while the larger saw cuts the new diameter.
Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws. If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required.
After cutting, the material plug can be removed easily by reversing the drill bit, helping simplify cleanup and keep projects moving efficiently.
Shanks are sold separately. Select the appropriate CMT shank or stepped shank for your hole saw configuration and drill setup.
