The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, precise cutting across a wide range of materials. Featuring durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this 2-3/16-in. diameter hole saw provides long cutting life and efficient performance with a 2-1/16-in. cutting depth. It is designed for use on soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Precision Hole Enlargement

Need to enlarge an existing hole? CMT makes the process simple by allowing two hole saws to be mounted together. The smaller hole saw guides the cutting action while the larger hole saw enlarges the existing opening with precision.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert the assembled hole saw setup into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

Stepped Shank Requirement: If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank (CMT-Sh350-DB1) is required.

Fast Plug Removal

Removing the cut plug is quick and convenient. Simply reverse the drill bit to help release and remove the plug from the hole saw.

Important Product Information

Shanks are sold separately. When enlarging an existing hole, verify that the two hole saw diameters differ by at least 9 mm (23/64-in.). When using hole saws with different shank sizes, use the CMT-Sh350-DB1 stepped shank.
