CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw - 2-1/8-in. Diameter x 2-1/16-in. Cutting Depth

The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw - 2-1/8-in. Diameter is a versatile cutting solution designed for fast, accurate hole drilling in a wide range of materials. Popular for door knob installations, this carbide-tipped hole saw delivers long-lasting cutting performance and is suitable for soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum/plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm2.

Carbide-tipped tungsten teeth provide a durable cutting edge for faster drilling and extended tool life compared with conventional hole saw designs. The hex-shank system provides maximum non-slip power transfer, helping maintain secure engagement between the drill and hole saw during demanding applications.

Carbide-Tipped Teeth for Long-Lasting Performance

The carbide-tipped tungsten teeth are engineered for fast, efficient cutting across multiple materials. Their durable construction helps the hole saw maintain cutting performance through repeated use while producing clean, precise holes.

Fast Lock Attachment

The fast-lock attachment system allows compatible hole saw sizes to be installed without additional tools. Simply attach the hole saw with a single click for quick setup and convenient size changes between drilling applications.

Precise Drilling at Extreme Angles

Designed for accurate drilling, the CMT hole saw provides controlled cutting performance even when working at challenging or extreme drilling angles. This makes it a practical choice for installation, remodeling, woodworking, and general construction applications.

Precision Hole Enlargement

CMT makes it possible to enlarge an existing hole with precision by using two hole saws together. This innovative setup allows the smaller hole saw to guide the larger hole saw through the existing opening, helping create a larger, accurately positioned hole.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

  1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it onto the shank from the back until it reaches the ring stop.
  2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
  3. Insert the assembled hole saw into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: If the two hole saws have different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required.

Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

Easy Plug Removal

Removing the cut-out plug is quick and convenient. Simply reverse the drill bit to help release the plug from the hole saw, reducing cleanup time and making repeated drilling operations more efficient.
