The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw is designed for fast, precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. Featuring durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this 2-1/16-in. diameter hole saw delivers long cutting life and efficient drilling performance. With a 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, it is suitable for applications ranging from woodworking and cabinetry to construction and installation projects.

This CMT hole saw can cut soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum/plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Enlarge Existing Holes with Precision

CMT's hole saw system also makes it possible to enlarge an existing hole accurately. By using two hole saws together, you can guide the larger saw around the existing opening for controlled, precise hole enlargement.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert the assembled shank into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: If the two hole saws have different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required. Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the two hole saw diameters.

Easy Plug Removal

After drilling, removing the cut plug is quick and convenient. Simply reverse the drill bit to help release the plug from the hole saw.
