The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw is designed for fast, clean, and precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. Featuring long-lasting carbide-tipped tungsten teeth and a 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this 1-in. diameter hole saw is ideal for woodworking, remodeling, construction, installation, and general-purpose drilling applications.

This versatile hole saw is suitable for cutting soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum/plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone blocks with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Precision Hole Enlargement

Need to enlarge an existing hole? CMT's hole saw system allows two hole saws to be used together for precise hole enlargement. This setup provides a controlled way to expand an existing opening without relying on improvised drilling methods.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding the saw from the back of the shank to the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank to the ring stop and click it into place.
3. Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of at least 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the two hole saw diameters.

Different Shank Sizes: If the two hole saws have different shank sizes, the stepped shank (CMT-Sh350-DB1) is required.

Fast Plug Removal

Removing the cut plug is quick and convenient. Reverse the drill bit to help release the plug from the hole saw.
