The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, precise cutting and long service life across a wide range of materials. With a 7/8-in. diameter and 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this hole saw is designed for demanding drilling applications in both woodworking and general construction.

Carbide-tipped tungsten teeth provide a durable cutting edge for efficient drilling through soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, and select masonry materials. It can cut solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

XTREME FAST Push & Lock Compatibility

The CMT XTREME FAST system makes changing hole saw sizes quick and convenient. Compatible hole saws can be attached to the appropriate arbor without tools using the fast-lock connection, allowing you to switch between sizes efficiently on the job.

Precise Drilling at Extreme Angles

Designed for controlled, accurate drilling, this hole saw helps produce clean openings even when working at challenging angles. The hex shank system also provides strong, non-slip power transfer from the drill to the cutting tool.

Enlarge Existing Holes with Precision

The CMT system allows two compatible hole saws to be used together for enlarging an existing hole. This unique setup helps guide the larger hole saw accurately around an existing opening.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it into place.
3. Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: If the two hole saws have different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required. Hole enlargement requires a minimum diameter difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the two hole saws.

Fast Plug Removal

Removing the material plug is quick and convenient. Reverse the drill to help release the plug from the hole saw, reducing downtime between drilling operations.
