The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw is engineered for fast, precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. Featuring long-lasting carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this 1-9/16-in. diameter hole saw delivers efficient cutting performance and a 2-1/16-in. cutting depth. It is suitable for soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum/plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm2.

Designed for fast and controlled drilling, the CMT hole saw provides precise cutting performance even when drilling at challenging angles. The hex shank also helps maximize non-slip power transfer between the drill and hole saw.
Precise Hole Enlargement
Existing holes can be enlarged with precision by using two hole saws together. This convenient setup allows the larger hole saw to guide the cut while the smaller hole saw follows the existing opening.
How to Enlarge an Existing Hole
- Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
- Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
- Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.
Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws. If the two hole saws have different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required.
Fast Plug Removal
Removing the cut plug is quick and convenient. Reverse the drill bit to help release the plug from the hole saw, reducing downtime between cuts.
