The CMT 1-3/4-in. Carbide-Tipped Hole Saw is designed for fast, precise hole cutting across a wide range of materials. With durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this hole saw delivers long cutting life and efficient drilling in soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block up to 30 N/mm² hardness.

With a 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, this CMT hole saw is well suited for woodworking, remodeling, construction, installation, and general-purpose drilling applications. The carbide-tipped cutting teeth provide fast material removal while the hex shank design helps maximize non-slip power transfer when used with a compatible shank.

Fast Lock Attachment

Precise Hole Enlargement

Need to enlarge an existing hole? CMT allows you to combine two compatible hole saws to enlarge a hole with precision. This method helps maintain accurate alignment while cutting the larger diameter.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it onto the shank from the back until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert the assembled shank into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of at least 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the CMT-Sh350-DB1 stepped shank is required.
