The CMT 1-1/2-in. Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, precise cutting and long service life across a wide range of materials. Designed with durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this hole saw provides efficient drilling performance in soft and hard woods, chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum and plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm2.

Efficient Hole Enlargement System
CMT's hole saw system makes enlarging an existing hole quick and precise. By mounting two hole saws together, the smaller saw follows the existing opening while the larger saw cuts the new diameter, helping maintain accurate alignment throughout the operation.
How to Enlarge an Existing Hole
- Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
- Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
- Insert the assembly into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.
Important: If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank CMT-Sh350-DB1 is required. Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the two hole saw diameters.
