The CMT Carbide Tipped Hole Saw delivers fast, precise cutting across a wide range of materials. Featuring durable carbide-tipped tungsten teeth, this 1-3/16-in. diameter hole saw is designed for long cutting life and efficient drilling. With a 2-1/16-in. cutting depth, it is well suited for woodworking, remodeling, installation, and general construction applications.

Designed to cut both soft and hard woods as well as chipboard, plywood, MDF, plastic, gypsum, plasterboard, tiles, solid brick, aerated concrete block, lightweight aggregate block, breeze block, and soft-density lime-sand stone block with a maximum hardness of 30 N/mm².

Precise Hole Enlargement

Need to enlarge an existing hole? CMT makes the process simple by allowing two hole saws to be mounted together. This configuration guides the larger hole saw around the existing opening for controlled and precise hole enlargement.

How to Enlarge an Existing Hole

1. Load the larger hole saw by sliding it from the back of the shank until it reaches the ring stop.
2. Load the smaller hole saw from the front of the shank until it reaches the ring stop, then click it securely into place.
3. Insert the assembled shank into the drill with the larger hole saw seated against the chuck.

Important: Hole enlargement requires a minimum difference of at least 9 mm (23/64-in.) between the diameters of the two hole saws.

Different shank sizes: If the two hole saws use different shank sizes, the stepped shank (CMT-Sh350-DB1) is required.

Easy Plug Removal

After cutting, the material plug can be removed quickly by simply reversing the drill bit, helping speed up the overall drilling process.
