Grass Tiomos is an innovative hinge concept designed to deliver smooth operation, precise alignment, and reliable soft-close performance. Advanced kinematics are built directly into the hinge, while the complex mechanism remains concealed when the hinge is installed.

Kinematics Built Into Tiomos Hinges

• The high-tech internal mechanism makes cabinet doors exceptionally easy to open and provides controlled, smooth movement throughout the opening cycle.
• The Tiomos kinematic design allows cabinet doors to be aligned with exceptionally small gaps and reveals, opening new possibilities for precise cabinet design and installation.
• The Tiomos hinge system provides convenient three-dimensional adjustment for accurate door alignment:
  • Depth adjustment: +3/-2 mm using the worm gear built into the hinge. The adjustment is continuous and self-locking.
  • Side adjustment: ±2 mm through the hinge arm.
  • Height adjustment: ±2 mm through the mounting plate included with this kit, using a worm gear.

5/8 in. Overlay Based on Common Cup-Hole Distance

• Cabinet door overlay is determined by a combination of three factors: the cup-hole distance, the hinge type, and the mounting-plate height.
• This kit is based on a cup-hole distance between 4 and 6 mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.). If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct hinge and mounting-plate combination.

Door Thickness

• This kit is designed for cabinet doors up to 24 mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. If your doors are thicker than 24 mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

160-Degree Opening

The 160-degree opening angle provides wide access to the cabinet interior, making this hinge well suited for applications where maximum door swing and accessibility are important.

Soft-Close Performance

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate. Heavier doors should use two soft-close hinges for smoother and more controlled closing performance.

Cup-Hole Distance

Cup-hole distance is the measurement from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole. Proper cup-hole placement is important for achieving the intended overlay and ensuring the hinge and mounting plate work together correctly.
