Grass Tiomos FL - 160 Deg., Soft Close, 3/4 Overlay - Single Door Kit

Grass Tiomos Frameless - 160° Soft-Close Inset Hinge Kit - 2mm Reveal - Single Door

Frameless (Euro Style) Cabinet Application

• Designed for frameless, full-access cabinets where doors attach directly to the cabinet box without a face frame.
• The inset configuration positions the cabinet door inside the cabinet opening with a precise 2 mm reveal around the door.
• Frameless construction provides unobstructed access to the cabinet interior while creating a clean, contemporary appearance.
• Without a face frame, frameless cabinets can accommodate wider doors and drawers while maximizing usable storage space.
• Frameless construction refers to the cabinet design method and does not indicate reduced quality or performance.

Tiomos® 160° Wide-Angle Soft-Close Hinge

The Grass Tiomos hinge system combines smooth operation, precise adjustment, and reliable soft-close performance in a compact design. Advanced internal kinematics are concealed within the hinge, providing sophisticated functionality without adding visible hardware.

• 160° opening angle provides exceptionally wide access to the cabinet interior.
• Integrated soft-close technology helps cabinet doors close smoothly, quietly, and consistently.
• Advanced hinge kinematics make doors easy to open and close.
• Engineered for precise door alignment and exceptionally small, consistent gaps.
• Well suited for demanding cabinetry applications where smooth movement and accurate adjustment are essential.

Kinematics Built Into Tiomos® Hinges

The complex mechanics inside the Tiomos hinge remain concealed while delivering smooth, controlled performance. Advanced kinematics reduce opening and closing eFaceframeort while allowing cabinetmakers to achieve accurate door positioning and clean, consistent reveals.

The Tiomos hinge system provides extensive three-dimensional adjustment for precise installation and fine-tuning:

• Depth adjustment: +3/-2mm is controlled by a worm gear integrated into the hinge. Adjustment is continuous and self-locking for precise positioning.
• Side adjustment: ±2mm is provided directly on the hinge arm for fine lateral door positioning.
• Height adjustment: ±2mm is provided through the included mounting plate with a worm-gear adjustment system.

Inset Installation with 2mm Reveal

This kit is configured specifically for inset cabinet doors with a 2mm reveal. In an inset application, the door is positioned inside the cabinet opening rather than overlapping the cabinet front. Correct hinge and mounting plate selection is essential for achieving the specified reveal and accurate door alignment.

Overlay and Cup-Hole Distance

• The combination of cup-hole distance, hinge configuration, and mounting plate height determines
• Door positioning.
• This kit is based on a cup-hole distance between 4 and 6mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.).
• Cup-hole distance is measured from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the 35mm hinge cup hole.
• If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the appropriate hinge and mounting plate combination.

Door Thickness

• Accommodates cabinet doors up to 24mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick.
• For doors thicker than 24mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting compatible hinge components.

Single Door Kit

This kit simplifies the process of selecting compatible Grass Tiomos hinge components for a single cabinet door. The matched hinge and mounting plate combination is designed to provide the correct inset positioning and adjustment range needed for accurate installation.

Soft-Close Hinge Configuration

For most cabinet doors, combining one soft-close hinge with one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate and balanced operation. For heavier cabinet doors, two soft-close hinges are recommended.
