Three-Dimensional Door Adjustment

Cup-Hole Distance and Door Position

The final position of the cabinet door is determined by the relationship between the hinge cup-hole distance, hinge configuration, and mounting plate height. This kit is configured for a common cup-hole distance range.

• Cup-hole distance: 4 to 6mm (5/32 to 15/64 in.).

Door Thickness

This Grass Tiomos hinge kit is suitable for cabinet doors up to 24mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. For doors thicker than 24mm, consult McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

Installation Notes

The cup-hole distance is measured from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole. Verify the door thickness, cup-hole distance, cabinet construction, and desired inset reveal before installation to ensure the hinge and mounting plate combination is appropriate for your application.

Footnotes

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge can provide an appropriate closing rate. Heavier doors should use two soft-close hinges.
