Nominal vs. Actual Length Measurement
The nominal measurement is a comfortable cabinet depth measurement from the front edge of the cabinet wall or face frame to the rear of the cabinet. The actual length of the slide is slightly less. The nominal and actual lengths for the various drawer slides are as follows:
