Easy Wipe-On Application

Arm-R-Seal is formulated for convenient hand application. Apply it with a clean cloth or foam brush using thin, even coats. Its low viscosity allows the finish to flow smoothly over the surface, making it an excellent choice for furniture, cabinetry, doors, tables, trim, and other woodworking projects.

For the best results, apply thin coats and allow each coat to dry properly before applying additional finish. Lightly smoothing the surface between coats, when appropriate, can help produce an exceptionally smooth final finish.

Can You Spray Arm-R-Seal?

Arm-R-Seal can be sprayed successfully, although General Finishes prefers hand application because spraying can make it easy to apply too much finish to one area. If spraying is preferred, use very thin coats and carefully monitor the surface for runs or excessive buildup.

If a run develops, immediately wipe or brush it out while the finish is still wet. Promptly correcting a run can prevent visible marks. Dried runs can be considerably more difficult to remove and may require additional surface preparation.

• Use a mask and work in a well-ventilated spray booth when spraying.
• Apply very thin coats to help prevent runs and excessive buildup.
• Small needle nozzle: 1 mm.

Can Arm-R-Seal Be Thinned?

Arm-R-Seal rarely requires thinning because it has a relatively low viscosity and is designed for easy application. If thinning is necessary, it can be diluted with up to 10% mineral spirits. Avoid exceeding this amount, as excessive thinning can reduce the solids content and affect the performance of the finish.

When properly thinned, Arm-R-Seal remains suitable for application and can be stored without concern for separation caused by the thinning process.
