FastCap 2P-10® Medium Adhesive is a professional-grade, fast-setting adhesive designed for strong, permanent bonding across a wide range of materials. As Part One of the 2P-10 two-part adhesive system, the Medium formula is specifically designed to penetrate and bond cracks and gaps up to approximately 1/8 in. when used with the appropriate 2P-10 Activator.

2P-10 can be used on many materials, including melamine! For the best bond, surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dust, and other debris. Proper surface preparation helps the adhesive achieve a strong and reliable bond. Slightly etched surfaces can allow the adhesive to bite more eFaceframeectively.

Fast, Strong Two-Part Adhesive System

The 2P-10 system consists of two essential components: Part One - Adhesive and Part Two - Activator. Apply the adhesive to the prepared surface, spray the activator, and bring the parts together to create a strong, permanent bond.

Part One - The Adhesive is available in several viscosities, including Thin, Medium, Thick, and Jel™, along with Rubber-Toughened versions in Thick and Jel™ formulas.

Part Two - The Activator is available in spray or bottle formats and is used to set and harden the adhesive quickly.

How to Use 2P-10

1. Make sure both bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, and debris.
2. Apply the appropriate amount of 2P-10 Part-One Adhesive to one of the surfaces.
3. Apply 2P-10 Part-Two Activator as directed.
4. Immediately position and press the two surfaces together.
5. Allow the adhesive to fully bond and dry before exposing the finished assembly to water or demanding conditions.

Which 2P-10 Viscosity Should I Use?

• Thin: Designed to wick into hairline cracks and very narrow gaps.
• Medium: Designed for wicking into cracks up to approximately 1/8 in.
• Thick: OFaceframeers excellent gap-filling capability and is ideal for binding joints and filling holes.
• Jel™: Excellent for filling larger gaps and especially useful for trim carpentry applications. The gel consistency helps prevent unwanted running.
• Rubber-Toughened Thick: Provides increased elasticity in bonded joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Thick.
• Rubber-Toughened Jel™: Provides increased elasticity in bonded joints and is 10% stronger than standard 2P-10 Jel™.

Water-Resistant Applications

2P-10 products can be used in applications where the finished bond may be submerged in water. The adhesive must be completely bonded and dry before exposure to water. When properly applied to clean, dry surfaces, the 2P-10 system can be suitable for demanding environments, including boat-related applications.

For best results, always ensure both surfaces are thoroughly dry and free of debris before application. Proper preparation and application are essential for achieving a dependable bond.

Useful for Tacking and Assembly

In addition to permanent bonding applications, 2P-10 can be useful for temporarily positioning or tacking components in place. On metal, it should not be used as a replacement for welding, but it can be highly eFaceframeective for holding a component in position while preparing for welding.
