Its unique diamond-shaped carbide cutter reaches tight areas where other turning tools may not fit, making it an excellent choice for intricate spindle and bowl work. The compact design is especially well suited for goblets, wine stoppers, knife handles, small bowls, and other smaller woodturning projects.

The Mini Easy Detailer delivers the same practical benefits as Easy Wood's mid-sized turning tools in a smaller, more maneuverable package. Use it for creating small coves and beads, cutting chuck tenons, making inside reverse-angle cuts for dovetail chucking, and removing material from green wood projects.

Diamond-Shaped Carbide Cutter

The Easy Detailer is engineered to cut straight into the work using the nose of the tool, providing excellent control for detailed cuts and hard-to-reach areas. The diamond-shaped cutter is compatible with all current Easy Wood Detailer tool sizes. When the cutter becomes dull, simply loosen the retaining screw, rotate the cutter to expose a fresh edge, and tighten the screw again. Each tool includes a genuine standard carbide Ci4 cutter already installed.

The 12-inch handle provides a comfortable grip and balanced control, while the 3/8-inch x 4-inch tool bar offers a compact profile for detailed turning work. The tool measures 16 inches overall and provides a maximum reach of 2 inches.

Safety and Proper Use

For safe operation, avoid plunging the tool deeply into the work in a single pass. Do not allow both sides of the cutter to make excessive contact with the wood at the same time, as this can create excessive force and cause the tool to bind in the groove. Use controlled passes and gradually increase the depth of cut for better tool control.
