This blade is designed for Fine-Finish Cross cutting in hardwoods and two-sided laminates.
The tooth pattern combines four 30° ATB (Alternating Top Bevel) teeth followed by 1 TCG (Tipple Chip Grind) tooth. The 30° angle is much steeper than general purpose ATB blades (typically 15°). This scores through the wood fibers on both sides of the cut. The Triple Chip Grind tooth rakes out the material between the scored cuts made by the ATB teeth. This results in a smooth fine-finish cut.
The negative hook angle is another important feature of the blade. With the hook angle set back 5°, the blade slices through the wood fibers which greatly reduces splintering.
