The BESSEY® Auto-Adjust Horizontal Toggle Clamp is designed to make repetitive clamping faster, easier, and more consistent. Its self-adjusting mechanism automatically compensates for variations in workpiece height while maintaining a consistent clamping force. With a 13/16-in. clamping capacity and up to 450 lbs. of holding capacity, this compact toggle clamp is well suited for woodworking jigs, fixtures, assembly stations, machining applications, and both small- and large-scale production environments.
Unlike traditional toggle clamps that require frequent manual adjustments, the BESSEY Auto-Adjust design helps streamline setup when workpiece thicknesses vary. The horizontal configuration and open arm provide convenient access while the horizontal base plate offers a versatile mounting solution for custom fixtures and workholding systems.
The integrated auto-adjusting mechanism allows the clamp to accommodate workpieces of different heights without requiring constant repositioning. This helps improve productivity and provides more consistent clamping results across repeated operations.
An integrated clamping force adjustment screw lets you set the desired pressure for the application. The nominal clamping force range is 25 to 250 lbs., depending on spindle settings, pressure screw adjustment, and the force applied during operation.
The horizontal base plate is designed for straightforward installation on jigs, fixtures, workbenches, and production tooling. Mounting holes accommodate either imperial or metric fasteners, giving you flexibility when building or modifying custom workholding systems. This model uses 3/16-in. or M5 fasteners.
A large ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip for repeated operation. The heat-resistant handle includes a soft insert designed to reduce hand fatigue during frequent clamping and unclamping.
Sturdy, tempered metal components provide dependable strength for demanding shop and production environments. A nickel-plated finish helps resist corrosion, extending the service life of the clamp and keeping it ready for repeated use.
The BESSEY Auto-Adjust Toggle Clamp is an excellent choice when reliable, repeatable workholding is important. Its compact size, automatic adjustment, adjustable clamping force, and versatile horizontal mounting configuration make it especially useful for woodworking jigs, drill fixtures, assembly fixtures, routing setups, machining applications, and production workstations where workpiece dimensions can vary.
*Clamping force is variable and depends on spindle settings, pressure screw settings, force applied, and other operating conditions. Small spindle adjustments may be required to achieve the maximum clamping opening.

Proposition 65 (formally titled "The Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986") is a California law that has been in effect since 1986 to promote clean drinking water and keep toxic substances that cause cancer and birth defects out of consumer products. It is administered by Cal/EPA's California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). Proposition 65 regulates substances listed by California as causing cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm in two ways. The first regulatory arm of Proposition 65 prohibits businesses from knowingly discharging listed substances into drinking water sources, or onto land where the substances can pass into drinking water sources. The second regulatory arm of Proposition 65 prohibits businesses from knowingly exposing individuals to listed substances without providing a clear and reasonable warning.
BESSEY branded products do not, to the best of our knowledge, expose individuals to harmful substances as listed by the Cal Prop 65 Legislation.
WARNING: Drilling, sawing, sanding or machining wood products can expose you to wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov/wood.
