The 1X Miller Dowel Joinery Kit is ideal for use on a wide range of wood projects that incorporate thick materials of either solid or laminated wood. The kit includes 40 Cherry dowels and a TruFit™ drill bit made of industrial-strength, high-speed steel.

Some project examples include shelving, tables, chairs, cabinetry, decking, stair risers and treads, and millwork. The 1X serves as an effective, simple, and easy alternative to traditional blind dowels, biscuits, or mortise and tenon joinery.

How To Use<

To use the Miller Dowel system, you align and secure the wood pieces to be joined. Next, you drill the stepped pilot hole for your chosen dowel using the Miller Dowel Drill Bit. Spread a small amount of glue on the ribbed sections of your dowel and insert it so that it drops roughly 2/3rds of its length. It will self- center with the 2nd board even if you have 't preglued. Tap the dowel until it's fully inserted and trim or sand the raised portion. It's that easy to use, and by doing so, you avoid the risks of rot, rust, nail pops or splitting!
