Hanger Bolts are headless and have wood threads at one end and machine screw threads at the other end. The wood screw end is designed to screw into wood or other soft substrate materials. it is best to predrill for the lag type wood screw end to prevent splitting and easier driving. They work well for susspending sheet metal or eletrical wiring from a wooden structure.
These Stainless Steel Hanger bolts have wood-screw threads at one end, and machine threads at the other. Screw one end into wood, and the exposed end provides a machine threaded stud. Used in Huricane and sever storm locations where sheeting is used to cover doors and windows from high winds and rain.
