The Tormek T-4 is a high-quality sharpening machine designed for home and hobby use, providing access to the extensive Tormek jig system for sharpening a wide range of common edge tools.

Building on the T-3, the Tormek T-4 delivers enhanced precision and stability. The motor and main shaft are integrated into the zinc-cast top, which features precision sleeves for the Universal Support. This advanced construction provides exceptional accuracy and stability for the Universal Support, which controls the machine's jigs and accessories.

The T-4 features the Tormek Original Grindstone, engineered to provide efficient steel removal, a smooth surface finish, and long service life. The included Stone Grader SP-650 allows you to change the stone surface from approximately 220 grit to approximately 1,000 grit, giving you two sharpening finishes from a single grindstone.

Ideal for sharpening chisels, knives, scissors, carving tools, turning tools, and drill bits, the T-4 is a versatile choice for home workshops and hobbyists. For larger plane irons and moulding knives, Tormek recommends one of its larger sharpening machines. Due to the T-4's compact size, certain gouge shapes cannot be honed with the SVD-186 Gouge Jig on the leather honing wheel; these tools can be honed freehand instead.

The T-4 motor is rated for 30 minutes of continuous operation at a time, making it well suited for typical household sharpening needs. For heavier or extended sharpening sessions, a larger Tormek machine with continuous-duty operation is recommended.

The Tormek T-4 includes the Stone Grader SP-650, AngleMaster WM-200, Honing Compound PA-70, and the Tormek Handbook on sharpening. Jigs are sold separately, allowing you to configure the T-4 according to the specific tools you need to sharpen.
