Titebond 100% Silicone Sealant

This versatile silicone sealant is strong, flexible, water-resistant and mildew-resistant, as well as VOC-compliant. It is NSF 51 Certified for direct food contact and meets FDA regulation 21-CFR-177.2600 for indirect food contact. It exceeds ASTM C920 and TT-S-00230C requirements. It adheres to many common building materials and can be used for both interior and exterior applications.

Sealants, like caulks, fill gaps and create a moisture barrier—but adhere better than caulks and remain more flexible when dry. So sealants work well on joints that move with moisture changes, and adhere better than caulks to materials other than wood, such as glass, ceramic, brick, stone, and metal. Most sealants are silicone-based, but some also use rubber or polyurethane. Sealants provide better adhesion than caulks, but less than true adhesives, and can hold small objects in place where significant bonding strength is not needed. Silicone glue is great for glueing wood to glass. It will not leave the unsightly mess left by most other types of glue. You do need to have a clean dry surface of glass and the wood need to be free of debris.
