Installation Instructions
For proper sealing performance, install the washer with sufficient fastening force to flatten the EPDM gasket without damaging or excessively compressing the rubber.
- Fasten the screw with enough force to flatten the EPDM washer and create a proper seal.
- Do not over-tighten. Excessive tightening can cause the metal portion of the washer to embed into the rubber gasket and may compromise sealing performance.
- Do not mix metals. Stainless steel sealing washers should not be used with galvanized steel fasteners, as dissimilar metals can contribute to galvanic corrosion.
