The Proxxon Disc Sander can be used to dry sand, or add the coolant tray and use coolant and wet sand on ceramics and glass. It is ideal for both. Because the motor is electronically speed-controlled, the sander can be used on hard and softwoods, nonferrous metals, steel, plastics, fiberglass, reinforced plastics, cork, and rubber. The sturdy die-cast aluminum construction and large worktable make sanding your next project even easier. The worktable tilts to facilitate angle sanding. It tilts 15 degrees inward and 45 degrees outward and has a slot for the adjustable miter gauge. The adhesive sanding discs quickly attach to the 9-27/32 in.-dia. pad using no tools. The disc sander can be attached to a vacuum cleaner with the supplied adapter. Standard equipment also includes a miter gauge and two each 80-grit (PX-8970) and 240-grit (PX-8974) sanding discs.
