• Framed cabinets are the most common type in the United States.
• They are called framed cabinets because of the 1-1/2 in. lip (frame) around the front of the cabinet box. The doors are attached to the frame rather than directly to the cabinet box.

• The complex inner workings of this high-tech hinge are hidden from view but are most impressive when working together. With advanced kinematics built into the hinge, cabinet doors are extremely easy to open. The mechanism also makes it possible to achieve precise alignment with exceptionally small gaps, creating new possibilities for cabinet design.
• For fine adjustment, the Tiomos hinge system offers three-dimensional adjustment:
  • Depth adjustment (+3/-2 mm): Based on the worm gear built into the hinge. Adjustment is continuous and self-locking.
  • Side adjustment (±2 mm): Adjusted directly on the hinge arm.
  • Height adjustment (±2 mm): The mounting plate included in this kit provides height adjustment through an integrated worm gear.

Achieved Overlay Based on Common Cup-Hole Distance

• Door overlay is determined by a combination of three factors: the cup-hole distance, the type of hinge, and the height of the mounting plate.
• This kit is based on a cup-hole distance between 4 and 6 mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.). If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, please contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct hinge and plate combination.

Door Thickness

• This kit will work with cabinet doors up to 24 mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. If your doors are thicker, please contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

Footnotes

For most cabinet doors, a combination of 1 soft-close hinge and 1 self-close hinge delivers the optimal closing rate. Heavier doors should use 2 soft-close hinges.

Cup-Hole Distance: The measurement from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the cup hole.
