Grass 110 Deg., Frameless, Soft Close, Inset 2mm Reveal - Single Door Kit

Grass Tiomos 110° 2mm Reveal Frameless Soft-Close Inset Hinge Kit

Frameless (Euro-Style) Cabinet Application

The Grass® Tiomos® 110° Frameless Soft-Close Inset 2mm Reveal Single Door Kit is designed for full-access, European-style cabinets where the door is mounted inside the cabinet opening rather than overlaying the cabinet sides. This complete hinge and mounting plate combination provides smooth, controlled door movement, reliable soft-close performance, and precise three-dimensional adjustment for professional cabinet installation.

• Designed for frameless, full-access cabinets without a face frame.
• Configured for an inset door with a 2mm reveal around the cabinet opening.
• 110° opening angle provides convenient access to the cabinet interior.
• Soft-close technology helps bring the door smoothly and quietly into the closed position.
• Complete single-door hinge kit includes the hinge and mounting plate combination needed for this application.

Frameless European-Style Cabinet Design

Frameless cabinets, also known as European-style or full-access cabinets, do not use a traditional face frame. Instead, the doors and drawer fronts attach directly to the cabinet box. This construction provides a clean, contemporary appearance while maximizing access to the available cabinet storage.

• Doors attach directly to the cabinet box without a face frame.
• Full-access construction can allow wider doors and drawers than comparable framed cabinetry.
• The absence of a face frame provides greater access to the cabinet interior.
• Ideal for modern cabinetry, European-style cabinet construction, and full-access cabinet designs.

Grass Tiomos 110° Hinge Technology

Tiomos is engineered for smooth cabinet-door operation and precise alignment. Its advanced hinge kinematics are concealed within the hinge while providing controlled movement, easy opening, and dependable closing performance.

• 110° opening angle: Provides practical access to the cabinet interior while maintaining a compact hinge profile.
• Integrated soft close: Helps slow the door as it approaches the closed position for smooth, quiet operation.
• Concealed hinge mechanism: Keeps the advanced operating components out of sight when the cabinet door is closed.
• Precise adjustment: Three-dimensional adjustment makes it easier to achieve consistent door gaps and alignment.

Three-Dimensional Cabinet Door Adjustment

The Tiomos hinge system provides independent adjustment in three directions, allowing installers to fine-tune the position of the cabinet door after installation.

• Depth adjustment (+3/-2mm): A continuous, self-locking adjustment is provided by the worm gear built into the hinge.
• Side adjustment (±2mm): Lateral door positioning can be adjusted directly on the hinge arm.
• Height adjustment (±2mm): The mounting plate uses an integrated worm gear to provide precise vertical adjustment.

Inset 2mm Reveal Application

This kit is configured for an inset cabinet door with a 2mm reveal. In an inset application, the cabinet door sits within the cabinet opening rather than overlapping the cabinet sides. Proper hinge selection depends on the hinge style, mounting plate height, and the distance from the edge of the door to the hinge cup hole.

Cup-Hole Distance

• Achieved door positioning is determined by the combination of cup-hole distance, hinge type, and mounting plate height.
• This kit is based on a cup-hole distance of 4mm to 6mm (5/32 in. to 15/64 in.).
• If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting the correct hinge and mounting plate combination.

Cabinet Door Thickness

This Grass Tiomos hinge kit is designed for cabinet doors up to 24mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. For doors thicker than 24mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the appropriate hinge components.

Soft-Close Hinge Configuration

For many cabinet doors, combining one Soft-Close hinge with one Self-Close hinge can provide an optimal closing rate. Heavier doors may require two Soft-Close hinges to provide appropriate closing control.

Important Installation Measurement

Cup-hole distance is measured from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the hinge cup hole. Accurate measurement is important when selecting the correct Grass Tiomos hinge and mounting plate combination for a specific inset application.
