Grass 110 Deg., Frameless, Soft Close, 3/8 Overlay - Single Door Kit

Grass Tiomos 110° 3/8-in. Overlay Frameless Soft-Close Hinge Kit

Frameless (Euro Style) Cabinet Application

The Grass Tiomos 110° Frameless Soft-Close Single Door Kit is designed for European-style, full-access cabinets without a face frame. This hinge and mounting plate combination is configured to provide a 3/8-in. overlay with a 110-degree opening angle, making it an excellent choice for modern cabinetry where clean lines, smooth operation, and precise door alignment are important.

• Frameless cabinets attach doors directly to the cabinet box without a face frame, providing a clean, contemporary appearance.
• The full-access design allows doors and drawers to make efficient use of the available cabinet opening.
• Frameless construction can accommodate wider doors and drawers because there is no front frame limiting the available space.
• Frameless cabinets can provide approximately 15% more usable storage space than traditional framed cabinetry.

Grass Tiomos 110° Hinge Technology

Grass Tiomos hinges combine advanced internal kinematics with concealed soft-close technology to provide smooth cabinet-door movement and precise adjustment. The mechanism is integrated into the hinge, maintaining a clean appearance while delivering controlled opening and closing performance.

Precise 3D Cabinet Door Adjustment

The Tiomos hinge system provides convenient three-dimensional adjustment, allowing installers to fine-tune cabinet doors after installation for consistent reveals and accurate alignment.

• Depth adjustment (+3/-2 mm): A continuous, self-locking adjustment is provided by the worm gear integrated into the hinge.
• Side adjustment (±2 mm): Adjustment is made directly on the hinge arm for precise horizontal door positioning.
• Height adjustment (±2 mm): The included mounting plate uses an integrated worm gear to provide accurate vertical adjustment.

3/8-Inch Overlay Configuration

This single-door kit is specifically configured to achieve a 3/8-in. overlay when used with the appropriate cabinet construction and cup-hole distance. The resulting overlay is determined by the combination of hinge geometry, mounting plate height, and the distance from the edge of the door to the hinge cup.

• Cup-hole distance: Designed for a distance between 4 and 6 mm (5/32 to 15/64 in.).
• If your cup-hole distance falls outside this range, contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting the proper Grass hinge and mounting plate combination.

110-Degree Opening Angle

The 110-degree Tiomos hinge provides a practical opening range for everyday cabinet applications. Its smooth kinematics allow the door to open easily while maintaining controlled movement throughout the operating range.

Integrated Soft-Close Performance

The concealed soft-close mechanism provides a smooth, controlled closing action that helps prevent cabinet doors from slamming. By integrating the soft-close function into the hinge, Tiomos maintains a clean appearance without requiring a separate external soft-close device.

Cabinet Door Thickness

• Designed for cabinet doors up to 24 mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick.
• For doors thicker than 24 mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for assistance selecting compatible hinge components.

Single Door Kit

This Grass Tiomos kit includes the hinge and mounting components required for a single frameless cabinet door with a 3/8-in. overlay and 110-degree opening. The hinge and mounting plate combination is matched to the specified overlay requirements, helping simplify component selection and installation.

Installation and Closing Recommendations

For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge provides an optimal closing rate. Heavier cabinet doors should use two soft-close hinges for additional controlled closing performance.
