The Grass® Tiomos® 110° Frameless Self-Close 5/8 in. Overlay Single Door Kit is designed for full-access, European-style cabinetry where the cabinet doors attach directly to the cabinet box without a face frame. This complete single-door kit combines the Tiomos hinge with the appropriate mounting plate to provide reliable self-closing performance, smooth operation, and precise three-dimensional door adjustment.

• Full-access frameless cabinets do not use a face frame. Doors attach directly to the cabinet box and sit flush with the front edge of the cabinet.
• The frameless design provides unobstructed access to the cabinet interior and allows for wider doors and drawers.
• Frameless construction is widely used in European-style cabinetry and is not an indication of lower-quality construction.
• Full-access cabinetry can provide approximately 15% more usable storage space than traditional framed cabinets.

Tiomos 110° Self-Close Hinge

The Grass Tiomos hinge combines advanced internal kinematics with a compact, concealed design to deliver smooth cabinet-door movement and dependable self-closing action. The hinge is engineered to make doors easy to open while providing controlled movement as the door returns to the closed position.

The concealed hinge mechanism keeps the hardware out of sight while providing the performance and adjustability needed for accurate cabinet-door installation. The 110° opening angle is well suited to a wide range of frameless cabinet applications.

Precise 3D Adjustment

Tiomos hinges incorporate three-dimensional adjustment to make cabinet-door alignment easier during installation and fine-tuning. Adjustments can be made for depth, side-to-side position, and height, helping achieve consistent reveals and properly aligned doors.

• Depth Adjustment (+3/-2 mm): A continuous, self-locking adjustment is provided by the worm gear built into the hinge.
• Side Adjustment (±2 mm): Side-to-side positioning is adjusted directly on the hinge arm.
• Height Adjustment (±2 mm): The mounting plate included with this kit provides height adjustment through its integrated worm gear.

5/8 in. Overlay Application

This kit is configured for a 5/8 in. overlay application on frameless cabinetry. The achieved overlay is determined by the combination of the hinge type, mounting plate height, and hinge cup-hole distance.

• Cup-Hole Distance: This kit is based on a cup-hole distance of 4 to 6 mm (5/32 to 15/64 in.).

Door Thickness

The Grass Tiomos 110° Frameless Self-Close hinge system is designed for cabinet doors up to 24 mm (approximately 15/16 in.) thick. For doors thicker than 24 mm, contact McFeely's Technical Support for help selecting compatible hinge components.

Single Door Kit

This kit provides the hinge and mounting plate combination required for one cabinet door in a 5/8 in. overlay, frameless application. Screws and cabinet-specific installation hardware are not included unless otherwise specified.

Self-Close Performance

The self-closing Tiomos hinge provides controlled closing action as the door moves toward the cabinet. For most cabinet doors, a combination of one soft-close hinge and one self-close hinge can provide an effective closing rate. Heavier doors should use two soft-close hinges.

Cup-Hole Distance Explained

Cup-hole distance is the measurement from the edge of the cabinet door to the closest edge of the 35 mm hinge cup hole. Accurate cup-hole positioning is important when matching the hinge to the desired overlay and mounting-plate configuration.
