Freud's Dial-a-Width Dado set makes paper-tight joints a reality for everyone, without the hassle of shims! Its patented technology uses a set of special hubs on the outside cutters, which, when stacked together or with any of the chippers, allows continuous adjustment of dado width from 1/4" to 29/32". Detents on the hubs provide for 0.004" fixed increments, making it easy to return to a previous width. The Dial-a-Width fits both right and left tilt saws, and is easily converted from the factory-supplied right-tilt arbor configuration. Each carbide-tipped outside blade has 12 scoring and 12 flat top ground teeth, set at a negative 12-degree hook for best performance in veneered products. The four 1/8" wide chippers and one 3/32" chipper each have four flat top ground teeth set at a 12° negative hook.
Due to its unique design, when set up for its widest cut, this dado set consumes approximately 1-1/8" of arbor shaft without allowance for the arbor nut. Comes with a special arbor nut wrench to assist in reaching into the dado hub.
