Forstner Bits
The Forstner Bit is a type of drill bit used for doweling, mortising, pocket holes, and hardware installation. It comes in larger sizes than traditional drill bits and makes cleaner holes than spade bits and a flat bottom. Designed to work with a drill press, they trend to cut slower than other bits. Do not apply too much pressure or the bit will overheat.
